ANALYSIS OF RACISM

THE ULTIMATE AIM OF DEBATE SHOULD BE AT FINDING LASTING SOLUTIONS, NOT AT PERSONAL VICTORY!

THE PERSONAL VICTORY OF THE FOOL MAY VERY WELL BECOME THE DEFEAT OF A NATION!

Whenever we get hurt or; are threatened with harm or; are conditioned into believing that some detriment will befall us, the result will inevitably be fear!

Fear, combined with a sensation of inadequacy inexorably result in  feelings of vulnerability, which will inescapably result in anger since the dynamics of rage will force one to find a method for keeping the cause of fear at bay!

However, anger is a temporary emotion and it is right here where "hatred" is born!

Hatred is a "deep rooted cellular-rage" so to speak, the undercurrent of hate is a permanent "anger" that will produce the illusion of safety on an everlasting basis!

TRUE SAFETY IS HELD NOT IN THE ABSENCE OF DANGER BUT IN ONES ABILITY TO HANDLE ADVERSITY!

There is not really anything wrong with disliking a person on grounds of him being a real jerk, no matter what race or creed he is!

But if you hate people you have never met just because they are different from you then, dear sir/madam, then you are in dire need of help!

In the event of you thinking that all other people are jerks it will be very unlikely for you to be the only sane person on planet earth!

CLEAN THE MIRROR WHEN YOU SEE DIRT IN IT, BUT IF YOU STILL SEE FILTH AFTER CLEANING IT, IT MAY BE TIME TO CLEAN YOUR FACE!

Some time ago I have overheard a conversation between a couple of white guys finding some pleasure in ridiculing Hindus for their rituals in "self-mutilation". The conversation seemingly got boring after a while and moved over to "the blacks" and even a total moron would have realized that these poor people were busy with self-mutilation of a total destructive kind, since they were the only ones feeling their bitterness!

The Hindus were mutilating their own bodies with the noble intent of purifying their minds!

Our little "hate-group" was mutilating their own minds with the repulsive intent of contaminating other minds!

Which one of these (above-mentioned) two groups acted unreasonable?

We are all together in this world, thrown-together as a global nation and the only force that will guide us through a life of 'liberty' is tolerance!

Tolerance and sobriety does not originate in any specific school of thought, but is the hallmark of a mature mind!

The first step towards healing is held in self-acknowledgement, the second step thereto is in your acceptance of your own follies and to realize your inborn ability to change! 
The third step is held in analysis, fourth in synthesis and the fifth in your own persistence in unlearning an old habit and replacing it with a new and beneficial inclination!

I am inviting all racists from all walks of life to face this auto-destructive force of hatred that is ruling their dormant sobriety to "come-into-the-open" with their feelings and express yourself on Racist Anonymous (RA), since by bringing your cropped-up feelings into the open is the first step to healing!

Suppression is the pro-forma for creating bombs and denial is nothing but self-induced ignorance!

Stand up and say "I am a racist..." and by doing that you will be acknowledging your desire for change!

Naturally I will not get many comments in the beginning phases, the racist-phenomenon has been (justifiably) demonized to such an extent that a very dangerous veil of denial has been drawn over the subject! Therefore I will occasionally post scenarios from my memory to illustrate the blind mechanics of racism!

THE SACRED ART OF "SEEING"

'The ultimate aim of debate should be at finding lasting solutions, not at personal victory!

The personal victory of the fool may very well become the defeat of a nation!'

The perceptual emphasis of the average man is centripetal (Tending to move toward a center) which makes it virtually impossible for him to truly solve problems!

The moment we succumb to a situation we lose the ability to see-things-for-what-they-are!

Succumbing is analogous to association, therefore the average man 'identifies-personally' with every situation that arises in life!

The key to "problem-solving" is held in the ability to detach yourself emotionally (and intellectually) from any given situation!

'While you are reading this article, you may find that your current position in 'space-and-time' remains stationary in relation to the computer screen yet, fact is that you and your computer as well as everything else in the room are traveling, right this moment, at 30km/s (108000 km/h) through space along with the rest of the planet in its orbit around the sun, but you cannot see it happening since you are an integral part of the whole!

Another analogy is the wonder of color which is held not in 'objects', but rather in light! We see "the color" of a "red" object simply because the texture of the specific item absorbs all light-vibrations and reflects red…therefore "red" is-the-only-thing-the-red-object-is-not!'

These scientific facts show us that the act of "identifying" with something is married to "ignorance" and the metaphorical "rape of social harmony" happens when this "association" with a condition goes hand-in-hand with the centripetal urge to "triumph in an argument"!

Therefore, we need to establish three coordinates whenever we wish to measure a situation with accuracy and the "point-from-where-we-measure'' being the fourth co-ordinate!

In any mathematical formula we have:

1.       The "Problem"

2.       The Formula

3.       The Solution

'Formula' is rooted in the "analysis of the problem" and the 'solution' is borne from the 'formula'! There is (in existence) no such a thing as an "isolated" incident, on the contrary; everything in the manifested universe form links-between-events! Therefore we need to shift our egos on the background when dealing with situations and moreover, we need to master the art of "looking through" things rather than "looking at" them!

We are currently sitting with "ego-challenges" in every public debate and on top of this we have individuals (with lesser socio-abilities) making very irresponsible remarks on social networks, furthering the deadly poison of ignorance among their cohorts!

Unfortunately the "art-of-intelligent-association" is not necessarily tantamount to "being literate", and I have found this ugly "demon" of discrepancy showing its revolting head in comments made by (supposed) learned individuals!

There is a gigantic difference between "academic-thought" and "intelligence" and the problem is that "wise people" seem like "crazy people" to "foolish people"!

'Long-long ago there was a very wise King in a beautiful Kingdom!

The inhabitants of the Kingdom adored their Ruler and everyone lived in harmony! In the middle of the city where everyone dwelled was a single spring of crystalline water and everyone in the small Kingdom used this one well, including the King!

Obviously the King had water stored in his Castle so that he won't have to go down to the well every day (he was wise remember)!

But one night an evil Witch went to the well and poured an obnoxious mixture into the well, bewitching the water! The result was that every person that drank from the well from that moment on turned insane!

Everyday more and more people drank of the poisoned water and slowly a rebellion arose in the peoples' minds…

"The King does not make sense anymore…" people started to whisper!

It was not long before everyone in the Kingdom started protesting against the King…

"The King is insane! We must get rid of him!" They yelled!

The king was very concerned; therefore he referred the matter to his Wizard and it was not long before the Wizard found the origin of the revolution…

"The water is poisoned, Your Majesty, the evil Witch did it!"

"What must I do? The people are going to kill me!" The King replied despondently!

The Wizard turned around and went to the well where he drew some of the poisoned water from its depths; he took the bewitched water to the King and ordered him to drink…

A few days later the revolt dissolved and the people thundered their groans of relief…

"The King is healed, the King is healed! Thank goodness, he is making sense again!"

By the edge of the forest, the shadowy figure of the old Wizard stood watching, holding on to the beautiful memory of the lost world of wisdom …'

The real mystic is not crazy; he is merely wise beyond the sane!

THE ARROGANCE OF IGNORANCE

Hatred is a blind emotion, especially when the person in question is consciously justifying his animosity!

In my life I have found that there is no-one blinder than the one who is looking directly into the light!

We choose a certain "light" and we stick with it and these "choices" are the result of our social conditioning.

It is very difficult (if not totally impossible) to alter a persons' prejudice once such a person has been practicing his self-destructive denial for a certain length of time.

Trying to talk sense into such a person is tantamount to pouring water over artificial plants…the result of such a waste of water will be a stinking house and a breeding place for mosquito's!

I am not only referring to racism, but also to any form of social-hate; whether it be xenophobia, homophobia or racism, revulsion for people you have never met, by hook or by crook, just do not fit into the letters "IQ"!

If an individual did something really inhuman to you it is okay to have a dislike of him on grounds of being an "asshole"! But to jump into the mode of 'hating-every-person-with-blond-hair' simply because a blond guy raped your hamster is simply ridiculous!

Three black guys broke into your house? Hate them if you like, but what logic is there in hating Dulcie? Dulcie is my next-door neighbor (black neighbor) and thieves broke into her house some time ago where they stole jewellery…and she does not hate the whole human race because of that incident!

So, hating her because three persons with a similar skin-color did something "shitty" to you is beyond preposterous!

I guess I will have to initiate a blog titled "Imbecilic Anonymous" soon, but in final analysis, that would be an insult to "Imbeciles" since it is usually not in their power to hate!

I have met people with low mentalities, people who were born with some neurological dysfunction and these poor people always show a certain level of compassion that is virtually absent in the so-called "normal" people nowadays!

This "ignorance-of-arrogance" is becoming so widespread in our society that it may be labelled as an endemic!

We find this tendency eating away at humanity like cancer, destroying social relations as well as personal affairs!

It is virtually impossible to talk any form of sense into these soldiers of arrogance!

A good example of this stubborn demon of egotism is in held in one of my SLS (Strategic Life Skills) session I have conducted last weekend!

I have been working with an elderly lady for quite some time with regards to relationship problems, her husband wanted to file a divorce after 45 years of marriage!

(It crossed my mind that they should wait with the divorce until all their children have died of old age!

Nevertheless…)

I have managed to convince her to bring her husband along to one of our sessions at the Dojo!

They sat down in my office but I could sense an air of hostility from the man, which I understood since I have been working with human issues for many years!

I have arranged with the lady before-hand to allow her husband to speak his heart and that she should avoid interfering with him whatsoever, no matter what he comes up with!

I asked the man to tell me, in his opinion, what their combined problems (challenges) were.

He said that he and his wife have been living separate lives ever since they went on pension; he accused her of being a workhorse and just because of that characteristic they are living 'past one another'!

He said his wife gets up every morning at 05h00, she then begins cleaning the house after which she does the washing, then she does the ironing! By the time she is finished it is already time for lunch, shortly after which she darts off to school to fetch the grandchildren…and so he went on.

He exclaimed that he tried to get her to sit down on many occasions, so that they could sit together, just for a while and just be with him, drinking tea together etc.

I wanted to know from the man what he does every morning up to lunch.

"Well, I eat the breakfast she makes me…then I watch TV and read the newspaper!" he answered.

"How long does it take her to clean the house?" I asked.

"Two bloody hours!" he replied.

"Consider this well!" I said, "If you take it onto yourself to do the cleaning of the house, you will have two hours that you can spend together!"

The man looked at me with an expression of shock and disgust; he jumped up and stormed out of my office!

"I knew this would not work!" he barked!

And this, my dear reader, is a perfect example of the arrogance-of-ignorance!

We need to do introspection, every day of our lives and whenever we see dirt in the mirror of life, we should clean it…

But, whenever we still see dirt after cleaning the mirror, it may be time to wash you face!
